What does "Path: System" mean?

First, thank you for this great Windows Firewall Notifier!

When deciding whether to allow or block a certain program from connecting, I first look at the path of the executable (advanced part).

This worked for me so far for all notifications, except for one, where it says "Path: System". It is usually associated with local & target ports 137 and 138 (but could be other ports, with much higher numbers). It also present nonsensical IP addresses such as 192.168.56.255 (I don't have any such on my LAN).

What does this mean? Does this mean no .exe or .dll is associated with it? Is it the system's kernel? Other?
